Software that gives direction.

Most software describes where you have been. Ours tells you what to do next. NorthSouthLabs builds opinionated products that turn intention into daily execution — for people, and for independent businesses.

Two products. One bearing.

Each product is an independent instrument, built to be the opinionated default in its niche — and to still be right in ten years.

GridBook · web · for independent professionals

The diary that runs the business.

Bookings, customers, availability and money — run as a system instead of a pile of admin. Customers book in seconds with no account and no app; the operator gets a calm console that protects their time as fiercely as they do.

  • Zero-friction booking — customers book from a link, manage from a link. No passwords, ever.
  • Double-booking is impossible — enforced by the database itself, not hopeful code.
  • Calendar-native — live feeds into Apple, Google and Outlook that update themselves.

Atlas Tempo · mobile · personal performance OS

Own your discipline.

Training, nutrition, sleep, recovery and goals — unified around one schedule instead of scattered across five tracker apps. Atlas Tempo answers a single question all day long: what should I be doing right now?

  • Schedule-first — meals, sessions and recovery all live on one timeline, not in silos.
  • Execution over tracking — the best session lasts ninety seconds: check the plan, act, leave.
  • Honest feedback — plateaus and regressions shown truthfully. No guilt mechanics, ever.
In development — launching 2026

Product three doesn't exist yet — on purpose.

A new product only begins once both of these are launched and healthy. Attention is zero-sum; we spend it where it compounds.

The philosophy

We build compasses,
not maps.

A map describes where you have been. Every dashboard on earth already does this.

A compass tells you where to go next. That is the entire product.

The test we hold every feature to: if you followed only what the product told you to do next, would your life or business measurably improve within ninety days?

0sec

Our best user session is ninety seconds long — check the plan, act on it, leave. Most software wants more of your time. Ours wants less of it, with more effect. Session length is our cost metric, not our success metric.

The principles

Values that cost us something.

Values that don't cost anything are decoration. Each of these forces a real no.

01

Longevity over velocity

Decisions are optimised for still being right in ten years. Boring technology, few dependencies, no growth hacks that borrow trust from the future.

Costs us: launch buzz and trend-surfing
02

Your data is yours

Full export in open formats, deletion that means deletion, and nothing sold, shared, or trained on. We retain users by being worth staying for.

Costs us: lock-in as a retention lever
03

Opinionated by default

Every product encodes a point of view about what good looks like. Defaults do the arguing; settings allow dissent. Spreadsheets exist for neutrality.

Costs us: users who want infinite flexibility
04

Small surface, deep quality

Few features, each finished — designed, fast, accessible, error-handled, supported. A feature that can't be maintained to that bar doesn't ship.

Costs us: feature-comparison checkboxes
The foundation

One language.
One backend.
Every product.

Everything we ship is TypeScript end to end, on a single Postgres backend with row-level security as law — one engineering brain shared by every product, expressed through different bodies.

  • TS TypeScript, strict, everywhere
  • PG Postgres + row-level security
  • UK Registered in England & Wales
